Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Social Science

A graduate degree in social sciences or a related discipline. Education may be considered in terms of having experience.

Experience
  • 1 to 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO
Additional Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of similar work experience in a developmental organization

  • The applicants should have practical experience in CBT/CFW payment / distribution

Technical Skills

  • Good communication skills and experience in working with community people.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office package.

  • Technological knowledge for working with ERP


Responsibilities & Context

Project : Sustainable Solutions and Protection for the Rohingya Community in Camps (CBP Project), (Funded by UNHCR)

Type of contract : Fixed term contract

Duration of Contract : Up to 31 December 2025 (if not extended)

Salary and benefits : Monthly Gross Salary BDT. 55,634 with other admissible benefits such as mobile & internet allowance, medical benefit, group life insurance etc

Job Context: This position is to support the organization in the process of cash intervention in the camps and documentation. S/he will be taking notes & preparing different primary statements, assisting in banking, entering data, and during audits.

Key responsibilities include (not limited to)

Volunteer/Labor Payment

  • Support with the maintenance of Cash Based Payment and labor/volunteer management at the camp level.

  • Will support to ensure all CBT-related documents, i.e., attendance, muster roll, and report are safely and securely stored in Cox’s Bazar office in coordination with Officer Finance.

  • Work as a bridge between camps and CXB Office regarding financial issues.

Documentation and Others

  • Assist with Officer- Finance for documentation & filing of UNHCR Funded Project

  • Print all voucher supporting documents as needed

  • Scanning documents as per all projects need

  • Assist in filling up the Accounting Analysis code & Journal number into the voucher

  • Support other Projects Finance Focal in the documentation process.

  • Provide any other support assigned by the line manager.

Assist Officer Finance for Processing Payment by ensuring compliance with AAB Policy

  • Collect payment requests of Vendors, Third Parties, and Staff from the Admin & HR Unit.

  • Assist Officer-Finance in preparing vendor wise VAT/ TDS calculation sheet.

  • Assist Officer- Finance for vendor payment notification.

  • Collection of Food requisition and LTA from camps & incorporate on behalf of Officer-Finance.

Bank issue

  • Cash collection and deposit into the bank as needed.

  • Pity cash collection from bank to support of Treasury unit.

  • Do other’s banking issue.

Relationships

Associate Officer – Finance (CBT) will report to Senior Officer - Finance
