Requirements

Education
  • BBA/BBS. Masters in Accounting or Management or equivalent subject and experience in donor-funded development project/Microfinance Program will be given preference.
Experience
  • At least 3 years
Additional Requirements
  • Age at most 45 years
  • 3 years of practical experience in the financial management of the donor-funded development projects and Microfinance program.
  • Have a working knowledge of financial management of donor funds, VAT, Tax, and donor compliance.
  • Skilled in budget preparation, budget monitoring, and procurement.
  • Have administrative skills, the ability to work in a team, participatory planning, and good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and computer, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and email communication is essential.
  • Maximum 45 Years or flexible for experienced candidates

Responsibilities & Context

Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF) is a national voluntary social welfare organization. JCF is implementing BD Beef and Goat Value Chain Signature Program (BD- 16) in Natore supported by HEIFER International. To ensure the quality implementation of the project, JCF intends to recruit project staff from qualified candidates of Bangladeshi nationals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide financial and project management and accounting oversight to the program to ensure compliances with organization and Donor policies and guideline and relevant Government regulations.

  • Strong understanding of project activity management aligned with budget.

  • Responsible for examining and analyze bills/invoices, different payment, petty cash and VAT & Tax deducted at source and deposited to treasury as per Govt. rules.

  • Responsible to track program advances and its adjustment, track expenses in line with budget heads and accomplish financial reconciliation and reports.

  • Responsible to submit accurate periodical financial reports to donor as per deadline.

  • Provide administrative and logistic support to the Cooperative office.

  • Ensure procurement compliance following donor and organizational policy§ Support the Cooperative Manager in monitoring the overall budget by reconciling project implementers' financial reports with financial documents and receipts & payments.

  • Check all documents and pay money in case of disbursement of loans and return of savings.

  • Physically handling bank accounts collecting bank certificates at month end keeping balance updated and showing actual collections in the register.

  • Creating money requisitions and withdrawing money for disbursement of loans

  • To manage the day-to-day work of financial management under the supervision of the Cooperative Manager.

  • Provide support for procurement by following procurement policy.

  • Maintain online-based program management software. Ensure entry in the system accurately and timely.

  • Provide regular updates of project financial status and raise financial issues as required with the Project/Cooperative Management.

  • Support Cooperative Manager for preparing Budgeting and Forecasting consultation with project team.§ Provide support for internal and external audit.

  • Ensure financial and budgeting information is correctly recorded in the system.

  • Ensure financial and personnel documents soft and hard copy are in proper place.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the authority.

  • Follow the organization's Child Safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Gender, and Whistle Blowing Policy.

  • Maintain humanitarian national and international standards applicable. 


Compensation & Other Benefits

Tk. 35,000 per month, Consolidated and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy as well as the project.
