Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor/Honors, Masters
  • Bachelor's degree or higher – ideally (but not mandatorily) in education, psychology, or a related field.
Experience
  • At least 1 year
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    University, Training Institutes, Immigration and Education Consultancy Service, School, Coaching Center, Educational Technology (Edtech) Startup
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 28 years

Role Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Ideally educated from English Medium institutions with IELTS (or equivalent) of 6 or higher.
  • Experience as an international student would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or academic advising within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of education systems and policies in various countries.
  • Experience of any student Visa Consultancy, Visa Service Officer, Visa Counselor, Immigration Consultant is a plus.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and international student needs.
  • Genuine passion for student success and academic development.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities & Context

The GFP Study Centre Facilitator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience and success of students enrolled in the GFP online programme. This role is designed to bridge gaps often found in fully online programs by providing direct academic and structural support, fostering a strong sense of community, and promoting student engagement. Leveraging the cohort-based model, the facilitator ensures that students remain on track, stay motivated, and are equipped with the tools necessary for academic and personal success.

Note: The GFP Study Centre Facilitator is not a teacher– the program content and assessment is developed and delivered via a sophisticated and well established online LMS. The Facilitator role is to be familiar with the program content and progression to provide ongoing real time support and assistance to students to maximise their experience and significantly enhance successful student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic and Structural Support

  • Facilitate structured in-class sessions that simulate the traditional classroom experience.

  • Provide academic guidance by clarifying course materials and assignment requirements.

  • Assist students in developing effective study habits, time management, and goal-setting strategies.

  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify students needing additional support.

Process and Task Assistance

  • Guide students in navigating online learning platforms and digital tools.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure students can access necessary resources.

  • Clarify task and assignment expectations to alleviate confusion.

Student Engagement and Collaboration

  • Foster a sense of community among students through group activities and discussions.

  • Coordinate peer reviews, collaborative projects, and study sessions to promote active learning.

  • Serve as a mentor, offering tailored personal and program support.

  • Encourage social interactions to build trust and camaraderie within the cohort.

Infrastructure and Resource Management

  • Ensure classroom facilities are well-equipped and conducive to learning.

  • Maintain an inventory of essential supplies and coordinate with administration for timely replenishments.

  • Address infrastructural challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.

Communication and Feedback

  • Act as the primary liaison between students and the study centre administration.

  • Provide regular updates on student progress and highlight areas requiring intervention.

  • Collect and communicate student feedback to improve program delivery.
