Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Technical, Finance) to drive performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities in commercial, residential, and industrial elevator markets.

2. Import, LC & Port Operations

  • Coordinate all import activities related to elevator equipment and components.
  • Handle Letters of Credit (LC) documentation, negotiation, and compliance with banks and suppliers.
  • Liaise with port authorities, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance and delivery of imported goods.
  • Minimize demurrage and detention costs through proactive logistics planning.

3. Market Supply & Inventory Management

  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and equipment to support project timelines.
  • Manage procurement, stock levels, and warehouse operations efficiently.
  • Forecast demand and align procurement to market trends and sales forecasts.

4. Sales & Marketing Oversight

  • Oversee the performance of the sales and marketing teams to achieve business targets.
  • Approve pricing strategies, high-value proposals, and key account negotiations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with top clients, consultants, and government bodies.

5. Project & Service Coordination

  • Ensure smooth coordination between technical teams and project managers for timely installation and commissioning of elevators.
  • Monitor service contracts, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) renewals, and after-sales performance.

6. Financial & Operational Management

  • Monitor P&L, cost control, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Report financial and operational performance to the board or executive leadership.
  • Drive improvements in operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
