Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Design, Garment Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
Need a good understanding of the development process involved within the fashion environment, understand apparel to executable samples.
Cost products based company given guidelines in order to maintain target profit margins.
Producing detailed tech packs and following complete development of a product from initial drawings to final sample.
Leads fittings and works closely with the tech team on sample execution.
Allocate samples and source raw materials from appropriate factories and mills.
Actively participate in meetings with Technical and Merchants teams.
Work on alternative solutions so garments meet cost requirements.
Keeping a check on production, sourcing trims, and fabrics.
Communicate and alert senior management to all high-level issues in an urgent timely manner.
Review any escalated issues and determine action steps which may include: Giving direction to the coordinator to execute, reaching out to the Vendor / Agent to work on solutions, and/or escalating to the supervisor.
Ensure initiatives, tools, and systems are being implemented and maintained. Monitor the use of systems over time.
