Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting, Finance, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Finance
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Accounting, Master of Commerce (M.Com) in Accounting
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Partly qualified CA (CA-CC), ACCA, or CMA will be a strong advantage.
Experience
  • 4 to 8 years
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum 4–8 years of hands-on experience in core accounting functions
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound knowledge of local tax laws, VAT regulations and corporate financial standards.
  • Strong analytical, time-management and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities & Context

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports and records in line with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and ensure timely settlements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to support strategic financial planning.
  • Ensure timely submission of VAT, TDS, AIT and other statutory filings as per compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and financial transparency.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support key decision-making.
  • Ensure all legal documentation, trade licenses and certificates are updated and valid.
  • Lead and support financial audit processes, ensuring all taxation matters are accurately handled.
  • Supervise and guide the accounts team, demonstrating effective team-building and leadership capabilities.
  • Maintain and update all entries and reports in the software.
  • Take ownership of process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounts function.
  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, providing regular financial updates and escalations when needed.
