Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience
  • At least 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Manufacturing (FMCG), Trading or Export/Import, Food (Packaged), Beverage, Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread)
Additional Requirements
  • Age 25 to 50 years
  • Strong knowledge of VAT laws and tax compliance.

  • Proficiency in different accounting software.

  • Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Good communication skills in both English and Bengali.


Responsibilities & Context

VAT & Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns in compliance with the Bangladesh VAT Act.
  • Maintain and update records for Input Tax Credit (ITC) and Output Tax adjustments.
  • Assist with VAT audits and cooperate with tax authorities to provide necessary clarifications.
  • Ensure the factory’s compliance with all tax laws, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory tax obligations.

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions, including purchases, factory operations and all types of factory maintenance expenses.
  • Prepare cost reports for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Analyze and monitor the factory’s production cost and work on cost reduction strategies.

Payroll Management:

  • Process monthly payroll for factory employees, including salary, benefits, bonuses and other.

Internal Control & Audit Coordination:

  • Monitor and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard the company’s assets and resources.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit reviews, providing necessary financial documentation and data.

Liaison with Authorities:

  • Communicate with VAT, tax, and other government bodies to address tax-related queries or issues.
  • Ensure all statutory tax payments and returns are made on time, including VAT, income tax, and other regulatory filings.

General Administrative Support:

  • Assist the management team with financial analysis, reports, and any special financial projects.
  • Assist with any other financial and accounting tasks as assigned by the Accounts & Finance department or senior management.
