Education

Experience
  • 2 to 3 years

Additional Requirements
  • Age at most 40 years
  • In-course (FCPS/MRCS/MS/Diploma) and also having minimum 2 years experience.

Responsibilities & Context

Bangladesh Spine & Orthopaedic Hospital (BSOH) is seeking an experienced Sr. Medical Officer/Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining patient services. This position focuses on minimizing treatment hampered within the hospital environment, ensuring the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Orthopaedic Operations, public health principles, and collaboration with medical and nursing teams to implement effective patient service prevention strategies.

  • Service delivery through good relations with patients, respect for the patient's right, good relations with colleagues; and observance of professional ethical obligations.

  • Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when & take appropriate initiatives in medical emergencies when required.

  • The initial assessment of all patients admitted the care as per hospital policy and ordering of investigation and treatment as per instruction from the primary consultants.

  • Attend to the floor as soon as the patient is admitted and see all previous reports and inform the patient's consultant.

  • During on call duty must attend the patient immediately and shall carry out the investigations with all the privacy and confidentiality.

  • All the assessment & reassessments are conducted daily for the patients and to see the referral patients and brief the consultants.

  • Responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant and also to authorize investigations, which are urgent.

  • He / She will complete the In-Patient rounds every day before, and fill the case sheets and progress notes & all the necessary documents.

  • Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan specially when necessary and to take appropriate initiatives in Medical and surgical emergencies when required.

  • Responsible to manage and support all related clinical activities in the department in absence of primary Consultant.

  • An adequate assessment of the patient's condition, based on the history and physical examination.

  • To provide for appropriate investigations and appropriate treatment and to keep clear, accurate, medical records about the relevant clinical findings.

  • Preparation of discharge summaries well in time and briefing the patient about the medications on discharge.
