Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Human Rights, Development Studies, Sociology, Law, or a related field.
Required Educational Qualification and Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in gender, protection, and inclusion-related roles, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of gender equality, protection principles, GBV prevention, child protection, and social inclusion.
Skill of photography
Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e. monitoring report, field visit report, event report, case study/story, press release, content writing, etc.
Proficient with MS office suite
Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
Job Summary
PROTTYASHI, a social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment with an aim to ensure everyone to live with dignity and prosperity. PROTTYASHI reaches the community with basic needs and supports to save lives and facilitate all the people of the community to live with equal value and priority. PROTTYASHI works for the disadvantaged portion of the population in community addressing their pressing needs following the strategies contextually viable and environmentally sustainable. PROTTYASHI has been actively supporting the refugee population in the humanitarian response in Cox’s Bazar as one of the first responders since August 2017. PROTTYASHI has been vigilantly supporting these crises affected population to accomplish its promised commitment towards humanity and people in distress.
To ensure improved food security for the refugee population helping them to meet nutritional requirement in an environmentally sustainable manner, PROTTYASHI is going to implement “Green skills Development” Activity of WFP Cox’s Bazar Resilience Programme in selected refugee camps. PROTTYASHI invites applications for the vacant position titled- Senior Officer (GPI-Help Desk) for the Project and encourages the persons enthusiastic to contribute to the increased resilience of the humanitarian crisis affected refugee population in Bangladesh. This position will be leading the accountability to affected population (AAP ) initiatives of the project to ensure maximum client satisfaction in response to the project interventions.
Reporting
Senior Officer (GPI- Help Desk) will report to Project Manager. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support and monitor the implementation of project activities according to the work plan and scheduled timeline.
Adopt ‘gender-transformative’ lens throughout the project cycle with particular emphasis on helping relevant staff analyze project implications for men and women, boys and girls in various communities and ways to address barriers affecting their participation.
Ensure that the gender and protection checklists are used in implementation and monitor gender transformative indicators for improved outcomes and impact.
Manage the GPI Help Desk to provide information, assistance, and referrals on gender, protection, and inclusion-related concerns.
Address complaints, inquiries, and grievances from community members, ensuring a prompt and respectful response.
Maintain an updated database of beneficiary interactions, concerns, and resolutions for reporting and follow-up.
Document and report all beneficiary interactions, challenges, and emerging issues to ensure program accountability and improvements.
Ensure gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches in all program activities, promoting the participation of women, children, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.
Facilitate discussions with community members to promote behavioral change and prevent GBV, discrimination, and exclusion.
Conduct awareness sessions and outreach activities on gender equality, protection rights, and inclusion principles.
Disseminate key messages on protection, safeguarding, and available support services.
Work closely with project teams, local authorities, and protection service providers to ensure proper case management and referrals.
Identify and report any protection-related concerns, fraud, or misconduct in line with safeguarding protocols.
Prepare regular reports on help desk operations, emerging protection concerns, and trends in gender and inclusion challenges.
Support field monitoring visits to assess the effectiveness of the help desk and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity while handling cases related to gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, and inclusion.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all beneficiaries while addressing their concerns.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding principles, ethical standards, and organizational policies in all beneficiary interactions.
Conduct training sessions for staff, volunteers, and community leaders on gender, protection, and inclusion best practices.
Support frontline staff in applying gender-responsive and protection-sensitive approaches in their work.
Contribute to the development of training materials, awareness campaigns, and inclusion strategies.
Provide psychosocial support to direct beneficiaries in case of arising complications in the field.
Receive complaints from field level and staff level and send them to the focal point of PROTTYASHI.

Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 65,630 BDT with contributory provident fund 3120 BDT, monthly bonus 6250 BDT and regular traveling and communication bill.
