Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor/Honors

The candidate should have a Bachelors/ Masters in any discipline or B.Sc./ M.Sc. in fisheries with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd class/division or equivalent result in all academic examinations.

  • ​People with sales and marketing experience in the rural market and a degree in fisheries or agriculture will be given priority.

Experience
  • At least 6 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Poultry, Fisheries, Livestock, Dairy
Additional Requirements
  • Age 25 to 40 years

Responsibilities & Context

  • Develop annual sales plan for the assigned region in accordance with the enterprise's ABP and market trends and potentials; Define sales target for each territory of the region with weekly and monthly breakdown as well as product-wise details;·

  • Manage the activities related to sales planning, forecasting, reporting, new business analysis, connect with distributor network;

  • Assist management to prepare the annual marketing & promotional budget and action plans which are designed to ensure the achievement of regional revenue target;

  • Work with sales team and account management and others area of the organization to develop, maintain a strategic plan;

  • Coach, train and motivate the team with the aim of encouraging high performance in the team;

  • Prepare sales forecasts on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Prepare delivery schedule against advance booking. Monitor and analyze progress, identify the limitations and take proper steps accordingly;

  • Appoint Dealers/ Commission agent and analyze their performance and business growth;

  • Perform frequent field visits to observe and analyze key issues regarding team’s selling skills, customer satisfaction and set appropriate strategies for improvement;

  • Conduct and monitor promotional events such as FTP (Farmer Training Program), FEP (Farmers engagement program, Bazar/Uthan boithok, products campaign & DEP (Dealer Engagement Program);

  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions;

  • Ensure organizational disciplinary rules and procedures in sales administration. Respond to inquiries from respective organizational units on sales results and administration;

  • Overall responsible and accountable for the total sales operation in the assigned region;

  • Make sure that the sales team of the assigned region are using ERP for producing error free business reports. All sales processes like sales order generation/recommendations/approvals invoices are generated through Fisheries ERP mobile app/desktop as per guideline;

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment;

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action;

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
