Minimum of 10 years project management experience in a relevant sector.
Coordination and project management experience
Coordinating skills with multiple high-level stakeholders (minimal 2 years experience in at least one other organization or project)
Project manager experience (at least 10 years)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with community leaders, sector representatives at CXB and field level, with senior management of other NGOs/INGOs and UN bodies, and with government authorities in camp and in Cox's bazar.
Strong organizational skills
Flexibility and adaptability, as well as the ability to plan, take initiative and organize work independently
Creative thinking and open-minded approach to finding solutions (lifetime experience)
Working experience in NGOs/INGOs, especially in Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Management, Information Management, Research is a plus
Social skills and team management experience
Extensive experience of managing multiple (project) managers and/or experience in leading a consortium (experience at least 5 years)

Experience with site management and site development with urban and Rural landscape planning is a plus

In Bangladesh, Acted started its activities in 2017 in order to respond to the Rohingya Refugee Crisis in the sectors of Site Management, Natural Resource Management, Community Protection, Information Management, Drain Monitoring & Intervention, SuLMER, Emergency Preparedness Response and CDCS in the Camps of the Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Cox’s Bazar.
Key roles and responsibilities
Project Planning
Develop overall SuLMER project implementation strategy, systems, approaches, tools, and materials, and support the project managers in the WASH team with their strategies
Keep finding innovative approaches and ideas for the project
Plan the various stages of project implementation and give direction by prioritizing and organizing activities and resources to achieve projects objectives,
Ensuring a complete and accurate forecasting of the budget based on the planned activities, and in collaboration with the finance department
Initiate stakeholder mapping for the SuLMER project and create a plan for actively involving these stakeholders in the project. Maintain the SoP for the SuLMER project for participation of all partners, and make sure the ToRs per partner/unit are also maintained and put into practice.
Actively involve other Acted departments (HR, Logistics, MEAL) in the project planning, and make sure all four WASH projects are well aligned with the planning of these departments
Actively involve the stakeholders in the project planning and organise (through UNHCR SuLMER focal) regular meetings with these stakeholders and the ISCG sectors they are representing to ensure their participation and buy-in.
Ensure all the necessary measures to guarantee safety during activities in the field for the Rohingya and host communities participating in the projects, and monitor the field activities on a regular basis to make sure these measures are in place.
