Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma, Bachelor of Social Science (Pass)
  • A Diploma or bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, agriculture, business management, or a related field.
Experience
  • At least 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 25 years
  • Two years of job experience in community development, DRR or livelihood projects is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic data collection and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities & Context

  • Assist in beneficiary identification, community engagement, capacity building, administrative support, documentation, and data collection as needed.

  • Assist in implementing livelihood programs, such as livelihood/vocational training, smart agriculture, or income-generating activities.

  • Participate in field visits to monitor ongoing project activities.

  • Support in distributing inputs- seeds, tools, in-kind support or grants to beneficiaries.

  • Mobilise communities and promote participation in livelihood and awareness raising on climate change-related interventions with the support of program/partner staff.

  • Conduct/Support awareness sessions on DRR, Environment, child protection etc.

  • Assist in organising workshops or training sessions.

  • Collect data from beneficiaries/implementing partner staff and maintain records of program activities.

  • Assist in preparing progress reports, case studies, PDM and success stories.

  • Collaborate with local GO-NGO/partner organisations/community leaders.·       Assist in identifying training needs for program beneficiaries.

  • Help organise and conduct skills development workshops.

  • Handle documentation, such as attendance lists, expense reports, and program inventories.

  • Assist in procurement processes for programming activities.

  • Maintain proper filing of program documents & any other job assigned by upper management.
