Job Summary: As the Vice-Principal/Principal, you will be responsible for demonstrating excellent leadership and management skills to guide academic and non-academic staff towards achieving organizational goals. You will ensure a conflict-free and discrimination-free working environment while fostering a quality teaching and learning environment within the institute. This includes ensuring the availability of teaching-learning materials and digital content for all subjects, as well as providing guidance and counseling to students and parents. Additionally, you will be expected to possess a strong understanding of research papers and publications, implement a Learning Management System (LMS) and Blended learning approach, and establish a comprehensive assessment system in alignment with the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) and Dhaka University guidelines. Furthermore, you will introduce the teaching-factory concept, execute strategic promotional activities, and establish industrial linkages. Your responsibilities will also involve overseeing day-to-day administrative activities and ensuring a high percentage of student success and job placements.
Job Duties: As the Vice-principal/Principal, you are accountable for the comprehensive planning and management of both academic and administrative functions within the institute, ensuring the most effective use of resources.
Supervise the day-to-day, quarterly, and annual management of the institute, overseeing curriculum development and student activities.
Manage general administration tasks for the engineering Institute.
Develop, implement, and monitor the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) and academic growth goals.
Establish learning objectives for students and faculty based on the engineering curriculum.
Ensure proper implementation of the engineering curriculum, syllabus, rules, and regulations for both academic and administrative activities.
Evaluate and report on teacher performance.
Coordinate administrative arrangements for student internships and job placements in service and industrial sectors.
Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss educational and administrative issues.
Implement the organizational structure and service rules at all levels of the institution.
Conduct gap analyses of teaching staff and arrange training sessions to improve performance.
Initiate Annual Performance Reports (APR) for all teaching faculty.
Develop and conduct orientation programs for new teachers.
Create academic calendars, action plans, semester schedules, and class routines.
Provide daily supervision of the college, students, faculty, staff, volunteers, and external personnel.
Perform public relations duties and assist in forming international linkages and global networks.
Fulfill any other duties assigned by management as needed.
