Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
  • 2 to 5 years
Additional Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in Knit, Woven, or Sweater categories.
  • Experience in handling European, US, or Asian buyers is preferred
  • ️ Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of fabric, trims, accessories, and garment production.
  • Experience in costing and price negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & ERP software.
  • Ability to handle multiple orders and work under pressure.
  • Good understanding of compliance & quality control standards.

Position: Merchandiser (Knit, Woven & Sweater)

Department: Merchandising

Job Location: Factory: Barpa, Rupganj, Narayanganj

Job Responsibilities:

  • Order Management & Execution:
  • Manage and execute orders from development to shipment, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
  • Ensure all production and shipment processes follow buyer requirements and quality standards.
  • Buyer Communication & Relationship Management:
  • Maintain regular communication with international buyers and local suppliers.
  • Provide order updates, solve any production-related issues, and ensure smooth execution.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers to secure future business opportunities.
  • Product Development & Sampling:
  • Coordinate with design and R&D teams for product development and sample approval.
  • Ensure all samples meet buyer specifications before bulk production.
  • Follow up on lab dips, trims, and fabric approvals.
  • Costing & Price Negotiation:
  • Assist in preparing order cost sheets, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
  • Negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
  • Work closely with the finance team for budget and cost control.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Work with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet buyer quality standards.
  • Ensure factory production follows compliance requirements (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, etc.).
  • Monitor in-line and final inspections to maintain product quality.
  • Shipment & Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate with the logistics and shipping team to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Prepare all necessary shipment documents, including invoices, packing lists, and Bills of Lading.
  • Track shipments and update buyers on delivery status.
