Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry
Experience
  • 8 to 15 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Manufacturing (FMCG), Tannery/Footwear, Chemical Industries
Additional Requirements
  • Age 30 to 38 years
  • Hands-on skill in building Technical Specification Sheet including Bill of Materials.

  • Technical expertise in trouble shooting the production processes of various types & categories of Synthetic footwear issues related to chemical composition, conditioning, statistical process controls, mould quality checks, etc., in sample & bulk production.

  • Knowledge on development, R & D, Commercialization, QA & Lab Testing.

  • Must be capable of designing, training, implementing and sustaining very rigorous processes and procedures related to the chemical formulation, recipe & compounding of various footwear synthetic products.

  • Multitasking Ability.

  • Application knowledge on Lean-Six Sigma, QMS & Automation is advantageous.


Responsibilities & Context

  • Developing new products development plan with item-wise objective, customer forecast, estimated cost & time-line to ensure cost-effective formulation, shorter possible cycle time·

  • Improve competitiveness of Apex product portfolio with technical value proposition·

  • Create RM supplier database based on MSDS, RMIF and other inputs provided by supplier for the possible benefits in the formulations·

  • Evaluate new RM for existing products, new products & cost saving projects for updating the database·

  • Evaluate the performance of new RM / existing RM from new supplier from initial production batches so as to ensure the stability of product quality·

  • Co-ordinate with Production in First Time Production (FTP) formulations to ensure the precision as per development recipe to achieve product quality and consumption·

  • Collaborate actively with Production & Quality in resolving issues and problems with solutions for internal/external customers·

  • To customize existing formulations as per trending PM/market requirements and to ensure product deliverables meet those expectations/insights and zero incremental cost·

  • Provide the new innovative, creative inputs to achieve the budgeted material cost.

  • Setting-up and managing the Chemical Testing Lab to serve the basic needs of Synthetic PD, R&D and Production including product & lab safety·

  • Designing, developing and implementing analytical methods, operational procedures and reliability programs to assure the consistency, accuracy & quality of the production recipe.·       Demonstrate the key-value of the developed products to PM & front-end operations team (Retail, Distribution & Franchise) so as to differentiate from competitor products.
