Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience
  • 2 to 3 years
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing digital media initiatives with a focus on YouTube channels preferably for media, education, consumer goods and non-profit organizations.

  • Proven experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, with a solid understanding of SEO and content optimization for YouTube.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools like YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and social media insights.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Copy-writing skills and good knowledge around Bangla spelling and grammar

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bengali and English.

  • Passion for children’s media and education is essential.

  • Knowledge of Adobe software such as After Effects or Photoshop.

  • Experience running paid media campaigns on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

  • Knowledge of content distribution on OTT platforms.

For more than 50 years, the Workshop has been a global pioneer in educating and entertaining children through multiple media. Sesame Workshop Bangladesh (SWB) started its operations since 2004 and got registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Office of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in October 2012. SWB produces the famous children television series 'Sisimpur’ being broadcasted by multiple TV channels; produce and distributes contents through digital platforms; develops variety of print materials including storybooks, puzzles, games, posters, charts etc.; and distributes them through government organizations and NGOs. Position Profile

The Digital Media Officer is a member of the Sisimpur Digital and Social Media team to be working under the leadership of Digital and Social Media Manager. The description below is indicative and will not be limited to the following-

Reports to : Digital and Social Media Manager

Job Location : SWB Country Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Contract length : Full time Employment with extension

Key Job Responsibility

Digital Media Officer will closely work with Digital and Social Media Manager for preparing Sisimpur digital media strategy, content planning and distribution initiatives and will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and growing Sisimpur's digital presence across YouTube, Sisimpur App, OTT and other relevant digital platforms. Among the array of digital initiatives at Sisimpur, this position will be responsible for keeping the Sisimpur YouTube Channel and Sisimpur App functional along with other supporting roles to the manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children's education, digital marketing, content production and distribution. Here below are the specific job details:

Content Production and Optimization

  • Edit videos, add graphics, and ensure high-quality, engaging content for Sisimpur digital platforms conceptualize

  • Create original content tailored for YouTube, Mobile App and OTT, including videos, animations, and interactive posts

  • Closely work with Digital Media Manager for preparing content production plan and platform wise strategy for distribution

YouTube Management

  • Repurpose contents for YouTube channel from Sisimpur’s existing Content Bank

  • Upload and manage content, ensuring metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) are well-crafted for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and effective discoverability.

  • Support in designing thumbnails appropriate for brand presence and audience engagement

  • Analyze performance data from social media and YouTube using tools such as Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, and platform insights to track KPIs, audience growth, and content performance.

Sisimpur App and Web Management

  • Upload and manage content, ensuring metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) is well-crafted for SEO for Sisimpur app and digital platform

  • Regularly monitor the App and web portal to assess the content consumption, consumption pattern, content demand and assess the need for future contents

  • Closely work the third-party platform manager to keep the app functional and bug-free

  • Review the audience engagement and plan to increase the engagement by taking initiatives

  • Popularize the Sisimpur App among parents and caregivers by taking different marketing initiatives

Other Responsibilities

  • Closely work with Support Digital Media Manager and provide necessary support in the following areas:

  • Growth of Sisimpur Facebook, Instagram, and others social media platforms

  • Support Digital Media Manager for preparing analytical reports for SW leadership teams and donors

  • Respond to comments, messages, and queries on social media in a timely and child-friendly manner

  • Recommend and implement adjustments to improve audience retention, subscriber growth, and video watch time

  • Organize meetings and workshops on digital media department

  • Closely work with SWB’s other departments for performing jobs with support from others

  • AOB assigned by the supervisor
