Action for Social Development (ASD) is a non-government, non-profit and non-partisan development organization duly registered with Department of Social Service and NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. ASD was established in 1988 by a group of NGO professionals and social workers with the objective to address the basic problems of the slum dwellers of Dhaka City to ensure their positive and due role in the socio-economic development of the country. Gradually ASD extended its development interventions in other cities and remote rural areas with broader objectives.
